How Scriptyx handles health information, and what this website is and isn't for.
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. Who We Are Under HIPAA
Scriptyx, LLC provides electronic medical record software and related services to healthcare practices. The practices that use Scriptyx are the "covered entities" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"): they decide what patient information is collected and how it is used. When Scriptyx creates, receives, maintains or transmits protected health information ("PHI") on a practice's behalf, Scriptyx acts as that practice's "business associate," under a written Business Associate Agreement.
2. This Website Is Not for Health Information
This website describes Scriptyx and lets you contact us. It is not part of the Scriptyx platform and is not designed to receive PHI. Please do not put PHI in the contact form, in emails sent from links on this site, or in text messages to us. See Do Not Submit Health Information Through the Site in our Terms of Use.
If you are a Scriptyx customer, share PHI only through the platform, as your agreements with us allow. If you sent PHI to us by mistake, tell us so we can remove it.
3. How the Platform Protects Health Information
Access to the Scriptyx platform is limited to people a practice has authorized, with role-based access across the practice's sites and staff. Platform sessions are logged for audit purposes.
4. If You Are a Patient
Your HIPAA rights, such as seeing your records, asking for corrections, requesting restrictions and receiving an accounting of disclosures, are exercised with your practice. Your practice holds your record and gives you its own Notice of Privacy Practices. If you contact us about your health information, we will refer you to your practice.
5. Information Collected Through This Website
Information you give us through this website, such as a contact request, is handled under our Privacy Policy, not under HIPAA. PHI processed through the platform for a practice is handled under that practice's agreements with Scriptyx, including the Business Associate Agreement.
6. Reporting a Privacy or Security Concern

7. About This Page
This is a general summary. If it conflicts with an agreement between Scriptyx and a practice, that agreement controls. We may update this page; the date at the top shows the latest version.
